Progress in Study on Quality of Life of Patients with Cervical Carcinoma

Abstract: The improvement of quality of life in cancer patients became an important issue in clinic along with the progress of treatment and the increasing survival rate. Cervical cancer is the second common gynecological cancer in women. The patients with cervical cancer have good prognosis and long survival with free tumor. Recently,gynecological oncologists have made great progress in the field of improvement of quality of life in cervical cancer. Various modified operation procedures aiming to improve quality of life of which the safety and feasibility have been widely adapted in early-stage cervical cancer,such as fertility-sparing radical trachelectomy, ovarian transposition as well as nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy. Adjuvant therapies including chemotherapy and radiotherapy have been commonly used in improving prognosis of cervical cancer patients. However, the impacts on quality of life need to be considered because of sequentially complications.The progress in improving quality of life in cervical cancer patients has been reviewed in this article.
