Abstract: Echocardiography is an important means of evaluating cardiac function in pregnancy now. Compared with conventional methods, various kinds of new echocardiographic techniques, such as AQ, Tei-index, TDI, SRI, QTVI and RT-3DE are used synthetically to offer more abundant prognostic indexes of maternal cardiac function for the clinical decision in normal pregnancy and pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome. They have a significant clinical and social meaning for the survival rates of pregnant women and fetus.
