Current status of diagnosis and treatment of borderline ovarian tumors

Abstract: Abstract:Borderline ovarian tumors (BOT) is a low malignant potential ovarian tumors,it has the characteristics of early onset, early detection and good prgnosis, but the preoperative diagnosis is difficult. Although the serum tumor markers, pelvic ultrasound and intraoperative frozen biopsy could assist the diagnosis, but the accuracy is low. In recent years, the surgical treatment of BOT gradually changed from radical operation to fertility preserving surgery. However, there has been widespread controversy about its early diagnosis, therapy and prognosis, this article reviews the research status of BOT diagnosis and treatment, in order to provide references for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of BOT and new treatment technology research.
