Abstract: MicroRNA(miRNA), which are small noncoding RNAs of 21-25 nucleotides in length existed in animals and plants, is characteristic of high conservation and endogenous. They regulate the expression of genes and take part in cell differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, and tumorigenesis, DNA hypomethylation, chromphil change and so on. The article elaborares miRNA whose biosynthesis, mechanism of action and improvements of some studies in gynecological neoplasms.

Key words: MicroRNAs, Ovarian neoplasms, Uterine cervical neoplasms, Endometrial neoplasms, Gene expression regulation, DNA methylation
