Abstract: Cervical cancer threatens the health of women, which is the second largest malignant tumor occurred in women. In studying pathogenesis, genetic diagnosis and targeted therapy molecular index has been hotspots nowadays. Riboflavin transporter gene(C20orf54) is the newly discovered esophageal cancer susceptibility gene. Pathogenesis and risk factor between cervical cancer and esophageal cancer are similar. C20orf54 could be a new genetic risk factor for gene diagnosis and early warning in high-risk population of cervical cancer. This review focuses on molecular biology characteristics and polymorphic variation of C20orf54,then analyze the research progress between polymorphic variation of C20orf54 and pathogenesis of cervical cancer in recent years.
