Abstract: Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is particularly prevalent among women, adversely affecting on female physical and mental health. The international diagnostic categories of FSD include The World Health Organization International Classifications of Diseases-10 (ICD-10),The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Ⅳ-Ⅴ(DSMⅣ-Ⅴ) and The Consensus-based Classification of Female Sexual Dysfunction(CCFSD). Based on the four-phase class of the normal female sexual response, these classification systems have classified female sexual dysfunctions into the following major categories:sexual desire disorders, sexual arousal disorders, orgasmic disorders and sexual pain disorders. The diagnostic and classification systems have been developing with our unceasingly expanding knowledge of female sexual dysfunction. However, these diagnostic and classification systems still have some defects in some degree, thus, further revision and new focus need to be launched.
