Abstract: Ureteral endometriosis is a rare entity and rather difficult to diagnose due to the frequent lack of signs or symptoms， which may lead to hydronephrosis and impaired renal function. The treatment is aiming at removing all endometriosis lesions， relieving obstruction， preserving renal function and preventing recurrence. Surgical approaches are first-line therapy in the management of ureteral endometriosis， accompanied with perioperative hormone medical treatment. The optimum management protocol for the condition remains unanswered. Laparoscopic approach is suggested to manage ureteral endometriosis in the future.
