Abstract: Objective：To investigate the effect of uterine artery embolization in the treatment of uterine adenomyosis，provide the basis for clinical treatment of adenomyosis of uterus. Methods：A retrospective analysis of 51 patients from June 2006 to April 2012 by uterine artery embolization for treatment of uterine adenomyosis，mean age was（36.8±12.5） years old，51 patients were followed up for 4 months to 6 years. Results：The pain relief rate was 66.67% （32/48）. 4 cases were pregnancy patients. Preservation of the uterus of patients，23 cases of uterine have varying degrees of narrowing，10 cases of uterine size had no significant change. Conclusions：Uterine artery embolization is a new effective method in treatment of adenomyosis，which can significantly relieve the pain of patients，relieve the clinical symptoms and signs，to provide opportunities for women of reproductive age of pregnancy.
