Clinical Analysis of Uterus Artery Embolization in Treatment of 51 Cases of Uterine Adenomyosis

Abstract: Objective:To investigate the effect of uterine artery embolization in the treatment of uterine adenomyosis,provide the basis for clinical treatment of adenomyosis of uterus. Methods:A retrospective analysis of 51 patients from June 2006 to April 2012 by uterine artery embolization for treatment of uterine adenomyosis,mean age was(36.8±12.5) years old,51 patients were followed up for 4 months to 6 years. Results:The pain relief rate was 66.67% (32/48). 4 cases were pregnancy patients. Preservation of the uterus of patients,23 cases of uterine have varying degrees of narrowing,10 cases of uterine size had no significant change. Conclusions:Uterine artery embolization is a new effective method in treatment of adenomyosis,which can significantly relieve the pain of patients,relieve the clinical symptoms and signs,to provide opportunities for women of reproductive age of pregnancy.
