Advances in Research of miR-183 Family and Cancer

Abstract: With the development of molecular techniques, the research about the role of microRNA (miRNA) in tumor occurrence and development have became the new hot spot in bioscience field. MiR-183 gene cluster (miR-183 family) is a highly conservative gene cluster,which includes miR-183,miR-182 and miR-96,that located in 7 chromosome. Researches have shown that abnormal expression of miR-183 gene cluster can be found in variety of cancinomas. Based on the newest report at domestic and oversea, we review some recent literatures about the function of miR-183 family and the correlation between the miR-183 family and cancer.
