Abstract: Objective：To explore the expression and clinical significance of endothelial cell specific molecule-1 （ESM-1） in human cervical cancer. Methods：200 patients were randomly selected in Xiaogan Central Hospital，normal women，chronic cervicitis，CIN and cervical cancer were 50 cases separately，using ELISA method and immunohistochemical method to detect the expression of ESM-1 protein，and comparing its expression between different age，pathological grades，clinical stages and lymph node metastasis. Results：Compared with the normal cervical tissue，the cervicitis tissue and the CIN tissue，the expression of ESM-1 in cervical cancer was significantly increased（P＜0.05）. And its expression was statistically correlated with age，pathological grades，clinical stages and the lymph node metastasis （P＜0.05）. Conclusions：ESM-1 is expected to become one of the important indicators in the development of cervical cancer.
