Application Advances of Laparoscope in Gynecologic Oncology

Abstract: In the past 20 years,diagnosis and treatment of gynecological malignancies has made significant progress. Especially in recent years,with the new development of equipment which laparoscopic surgery pioneers expect,performing laparoscopic surgery in gynecologic oncology has become feasible. The laparoscopic application in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic malignancies has multiple benefits,including image magnification,metastatic or recurrent lesions can be found easily,at challenging areas,such as the anatomy of para-vescal space and perirectal fascia space can be clearly display. Pneumoperitoneum pressure can reduce the small blood vessels bleeding,thus reducing the length of hospital stay and recovery faster. Earlier postoperative chemotherapy or radiotherapy,can greatly reduce radiation-induced intestinal complications.
