Hyperglycosylated hCG promotes trophoblast invasion in choriocarcinoma, growth of cytotrophoblast cells and placental implantation in pregnancy. Hyperglycosylated hCG is a reliable bio-marker of gestational trophoblastic diseases and a valuable marker for Down syndrome screen, hypertensive disorder prediction in pregnancy and gestational trophoblastic tumor management.
