The Clinical Effects of Bilateral Uterine Artery Embolization in the Pernicious Placenta Previa

Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effects of bilateral uterine artery embolization in the pernicious placenta previa after cesarean section. Methods:13 cases of pernicious placenta previa were terminating pregnancy by cesarean section. The perioperative period bleeding occurred in different degree,uterine artery embolization using immediately line after cesarean section for hemostasis. Results:After uterine artery embolization,12 cases of vaginal bleeding was significantly reduced,1 case as a result of the lower uterine segment blood sinus was extremely rich,maternal vaginal bleeding was still more,subtotal hysterectomy immediately. Before and after uterine artery embolization, hemoglobin showed no obvious reduced. Postoperative uterine had better recovery and no recurrence of uterine bleeding. Conclusions:Application of uterine artery embolization in pernicious placenta previa during cesarean section to hemostasis and preserve the uterus,is an effective treatment of uterine bleeding.
