Abstract: Mitogen-inducible gene 6(MIG6) is induced by epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) feedback inhibition factor, can regulate receptor activation and stability. MIG6 is the target gene of progesterone can adjust the antagonistic effect of progesterone on estradiol. MIG6 also possesses the tumor suppressor function. Down-regulation or loss of MIG6 expression is often associated with progesterone resistance of endometriosis(EMs) and the incidence of endometrial cancer. The aim of this review is to highlight recent findings regarding the mechanism of feedback inhibitor of MIG6 on the EGFR signaling pathways and the relationship between MIG6 and progesterone activity, progesterone resistance of EMs and the incidence of endometrial neoplasms.
