Abstract: The classical estrogen receptor(ER) and its variants, membrane estrogen receptor(mER) involved in mediating different signaling effects of estrogen. Studies have shown estrogen is closely related to the occurrence and development process of endometrial cancer, while excessive estrogen stimulation and lack of progesterone antagonist is widely accepted as the main cause of endometrial cancer and the function of estrogen is mediated by estrogen receptor. Learning the possible mechanisms of the occurrence and development of endometrial cancer and finding new ways for its diagnosis and treatment through estrogen receptor also showing great significance. This paper reviews the structure and function of estrogen receptor, and analyses its relationship with endometrial cancer.
