Abstract: Uterine scar pregnancy refers to a woman who has a previous history of cesarean section or uterine cavity operation. During the post-operative pregnancy, the embryo tissue is implanted in the scar of the uterus. The incidence of scar pregnancy increased year by year and the degree of harm to mother and baby was relatively high. With the wide application of uterine artery embolization (UAE) in the treatment of uterine scar pregnancy, it has shown significant advantages in reducing bleeding, retaining the uterus and reducing the death rate. But at the same time, some serious adverse complications, such as pain, amenorrhea, intrauterine adhesion and reduced reproductive function, have been gradually revealed. Currently, the therapeutic effect is still not ideal. By elucidation of the advantages and disadvantages of UAE in the treatment of uterine scar pregnancy, the better therapeutic effect can be achieved by improving the technique of UAE.
