New Advancement in the Treatments of Severe Hypertention in Pregnancies

Abstract: Hypertensive disorders of pregnancies remains a central public health concern throughout the world,and is a major cause of maternal mortality in the developing country. Acute severe hypertension may occur in different period of the hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. In order to decrease the incidence of adverse vascular events,persistent severe hypertension must be treated effectively, particularly stroke or other central nervous system complications. However,when and which antihypertensive agents to use remain considerable.As far as what we are concerned,hydralazine and nifedipine are no longer the first choice,but labetalol and nicardipine may be a good choice.
