Establishment and Clinical Application of Animal Model in Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

Abstract: Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)is a serious and costly common disease for reproductive women. Studying an appropriate animal model will be useful for ascertaining its pathogenesis, selection and evaluation of anti-inflammatory medicines,and potential vaccine candidates. Until now, there are many methods for the PID animal models. However,the models have some limitations. It is needed further study afterwards. This article focuses on the establishiment and application of animal model in PID.
