Abstract: Pre-eclampsia,considered a leading cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality,is defined as new-onset hypertension and proteinuria during pregnancy. It is very important to develop effective prediction and prevention of pre-eclampsia. Finding a method to predict pre-eclampsia precisely has been a focus for many years. Varied tests used to predict pre-eclampsia include clinical identification of high risk, uterine artery Doppler and maternal peripheral blood correlation protein detection. In recent years, the focus has evolved from screening in the second trimester to screening beginning in the first trimester. The beneficial effect of preventing pre-eclampsia was observed only in low aspirin treatment. The aim of this review is to discuss the progress of the prediction and prevention of the pre-eclampsia.
