Abstract: Objective:To study the expression and the clinical importance of the iNOS and caspase 3 in the chorionic and decidual tissues of the patients whose embryos stop developing. Methods:30 cases of early unexplained embryonic diapauses patients (case group) and 30 normal early pregnant women (control group) for the study, chorionic and deciduas tissues caspase 3 and iNOS levels were tested by RT-PCR method, chorionic and decidual caspase 3 protein expression levels were tested by Western blot. Results:①In the chorionic and decidual tissues, caspase 3 mRNA, the total caspase 3 protein and caspase 3 fragment protein expression levels in the case group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.01). ② In the chorionic and decidual tissues, iNOS mRNA expression level in the case group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.01). Conclusions:In the chorionic and decidual tissues,iNOS and caspase 3 positive expression in the normal pregnancy and in the patients whose embryos stop developing. The iNOS and caspase 3 may involve in apoptosis, and then cause embryo stopping development.
