Targeted Therapies Advances in Ovarian Cancer

Abstract: Ovarian cancer is the leading cause of death from gynecological cancer. Although some advances in surgical and chemotherapeutic strategies have been made, there still remains a significant risk for recurrence and resistance to therapy. Targeted therapy become a effective method against ovarian cancer, which could improve the ability to kill cancer cells and to reduce the damage to normal tissues. Targeted therapy has gradually applied to clinical treatment and shown an advantage to tranditional ones. This paper review targeted therapies in ovarian cancer in form of molecular targeted and gene targeted, in order to know about the current situation and the prospective research of the treatment in ovarian cancer.
