Research Progress on Human Endometrial Tumor Stem Cells

Abstract: Endometrial tumor is one of the most common gynecological malignancies afflicting the lives and health of the women. Endometrial tumor stem cells, which may be the main reason why anti-endometrial tumor therapy fails, are possibly responsible for the development, progression, metastasis and recurrence of the endometrial tumor disease. At present endometrial stem cells have been successfully separated and identified. Endometrial tumor stem cells may originate from normal endometrium stem cells or its differentiated cells, exploration of whose surface markers, separation and identification methods has obtained some achievements. This article overviewed the progress in experiments of endometrial tumor stem cells.
