Placenta plays a critical role in the programme of intrauterine stimulus and preeclampsia, particularly early-onset preeclampsia was closely related to the placenta insufficiency. Increasing evidences from epidemiology and experiments on animals have proven that the development of adult diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and stroke was strongly linked with preeclampsia.
