More and more researches indicate that hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance play an important role in the occurrence and development of PCOS in recent decades. Usually,we use a variety of animal models for the study of it’s pathogenesis and therapeutic effect. Common polycystic ovary animal model manufacturing methods include androgen, androgen+hCG, estrogen method, letrozole method, insulin + hCG method, progesterone + hCG method, this paper summarizes the insulin resistance performance of common animal models of polycystic ovary syndrome , and to explore which model is more suitable for the study of insulin resistance in the occurrence and development of the disease.
