Abstract: Stathmin was detected expression in human endometrial epithelia and stromal cells and impacted in the progression of cell cycles as a microtuble unstable protein. It was reported that the transformation from endometrium to decidua is an important characteristics of embryo implantation. Stathmin may play a critical role in endometrial decidualization, differentiation and proliferation, apoptosis of decidual, invasion and adhesion of the decidual related cells. As an important feature of normal implantation and pregnancy, decidualization and sub-surface trophoblast constitute a maternal-fetal interface, thus affecting the normal early pregnancy, and may be related to early spontaneous abortion. This article will summarize the studies about stathmin with the decidualization.
