Abstract: PCOS is a heterogeneous and complicated disease. Recently,it has been demonstrated that chronic inflammation participates in the pathphysiological progress of PCOS, which is closely related with the initiation and progression of long-term complications of PCOS. The elevated levels of main chronic inflammatory cytokines, including C-reactive protein (CRP), Interleukins(IL),Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor-1(PAI-1),Monocyte Chemotactic Factor-1(MCF-1) and Tumor Necrosis Factor(TNF),are associated with insulin resistance and cardiovascular diseases in women with PCOS.
